Board Member (7 Board Members needed) Become an advocate for the organization by your willingness to share time, talent and treasure toward furthering the mission of Southeastern Food Bank. Attend monthly meetings in addition to involvement in event planning and implementation. Engage in helping to identify and secure financial resources, partnerships and volunteers necessary for the sustainability of the organization. Support the organization by making a financial contribution and by participating in and supporting fundraising activities as outlined in the Fundraising Plan.

Brief Description of Organization's Programs & Services

Provide food and basic essentials to those in need through monthly outreach programs with like-minded nonprofit organizations throughout the state of Florida.

Skills and talents of ideal candidate:

Local key influencer, passionate about feeding those in need and committed to furthering the mission in a faith-based approach. Selected Board Members will have achieved leadership in either business, government, philanthropy or nonprofit sector. His/her accomplishments will allow them to attract other well-qualified, high-performing Board Members. We are seeking 7 new board members with experience and talents in the following areas…operations, technology, marketing & public relations, legal, human resources, finance & investment, development & fundraising, accounting, volunteer management. We are looking for doers! Willing to take responsibility for implementing activities and promoting community awareness.

Warehouse office

Time Commitment

2-year term. Board meets 3rd Weds. each month. The Board is required to attend meetings for planning and implementing events, etc. 2-4 hours month.
